What you get
A successful catered charter brings the menu, preparation and service together. We assess the galley, coordinate loading with the captain and plan staffing around the vessel and itinerary. Your proposal sets out the food, equipment, service and clear-down responsibilities.

How much we handle
Pick a level. It pre-fills the quote. We do not sell a shelf of yacht catering packages — we write a proposal from guest count, format and the yacht.
How you eat
Choose brunch, lunch, a canapé reception or a seated dinner. The menu, serving vessels and preparation plan should suit the space onboard, the sailing conditions and the way you want guests to dine.
Occasions
Menus and service can be tailored to birthdays, company gatherings and private celebrations. Choose your occasion to begin a brief covering food, staffing and clear-down.
Previous work
An upper-deck dining table, a grazing selection in the salon and circulating canapés brought this birthday celebration together aboard a yacht chartered by the host.
For a smaller birthday, service can combine a table on deck with informal grazing inside. The plan follows the vessel’s layout and your guest list.
Most of the cooking happens on land. We load in the captain’s window, set the table and the salon, then finish and serve onboard so you are not managing trays.
Gold chargers and low floral arrangements dress the upper-deck table, while sushi, tartlets, sliders and desserts fill the salon. Service includes replenishment and clear-down coordinated with the captain.

The full hospitality brief
Food is only the start. A serious yacht day also needs chefs, waiters, bartenders, live stations, glassware, setup, marina loading and someone talking to the yacht operator. We build the brief from what the day actually needs. The lists below are what we write into proposals. The written proposal names the dishes, the team and the price.

How the day is served
Guests do not sit still. They move from the aft lounge to the upper deck to the salon. We design the food around that: passed canapés while people arrive, a welcome hour, buffet or bowls once they settle, live stations where the deck allows it, seated-optional dining if a smaller group wants a table. We can pause service for a CEO speech and restart without the room going cold. Corporate yacht catering, private yacht catering and VIP days use the same operating model — different staffing, same coordination with the yacht operator.

Live stations
A yacht is not a hotel ballroom. Stations have to be self-contained, marine-safe and small enough to load in the captain’s window. The 113-guest Harbour quote priced one live station — chicken shawarma, Mexican, pasta or burger — with two station chefs as a separate AED 720 line. We can run more than one station when the vessel and headcount justify it: carving, dessert, coffee, robata, noodle or wok. If the captain will not allow open flame, we do not light a grill.
Canapé menus
The Harbour canapé reception offered a choice of 12 from a 40+ item list, plus desserts, soft drinks, water and mocktails, with 5–6 waiters named on that quote. Passed bites have to survive movement, heat and one-hand eating. We prep most of the work on land and finish onboard. The list below is the range we build from. Your written menu is a short selection, not every item on one tray.
International buffet
A professionally managed buffet is how larger yacht groups eat without a restaurant pass. Guests move at their own pace. Waiters replenish, clear and keep the table looking organised. The Harbour buffet quote named 4 waiters, with salads, appetizers, mains, sides, desserts and beverages. Elevations come off if the sea gets rough — that is a captain’s call, written into how we set the table.

Bowl food and lounge
On a yacht, a low lounge table often works better than a long seated dinner. Bowl food is a proper course in a bowl you can hold — short rib, seabass, tagine, risotto, orzo — served by waiters while guests stay in conversation. Vegetarian and vegan bowls are part of the same format, not an afterthought.

Desserts
Harbour canapé days included five desserts. We favour items that hold: tartlets, shots, baklava, fruit. A live dessert station or tiramisu bar is possible when the yacht has the space and the staff. A chocolate fountain only if the captain and the sea agree — it is not a default.

Drinks
Soft drinks, water and mocktails sat inside the Harbour food rates. A bartender with a bar station, glasses and icebox is AED 1,800 on that quote; a bartender alone is AED 1,200. Alcohol is only where the operator permits it. We can run a mobile bar, use the yacht’s existing bar, or keep the day fully non-alcoholic. Continuous beverage service is a staffing decision, written before anyone boards.
The team
The Harbour canapé quote named 5–6 skilled waiters. The buffet named 4. Live station added two chefs at AED 720. Larger days can scale to an event manager, a head chef, station chefs, waiters, runners and bartenders. We do not copy a 113-guest team onto a table of twelve. Mixed-gender service teams are normal; we can match the brief. A yacht chef Dubai brief is a charter day, not a household plan.

Running the day
On larger days we put an event or service manager on the boat: briefing the team, coordinating boarding with the yacht operator, timing food around a speech, watching guest count, dietaries and the floor plan. That person is the client-facing supervisor. You should not be messaging five suppliers while guests are arriving.

What we bring
Glassware, plates, cutlery and napkins were inside the Harbour food quotes. Larger days add charger plates, fabric napkins, buffet risers, chafing or induction, and station signage. We load what the format needs and take it off again. Menu name tags go on the buffet so guests are not guessing.

How it looks
Décor has to survive movement and a captain’s safety call. We style buffets and stations with elevations that can come off in open water. Candles, low florals, table runners and gold charger settings are available when the brief wants them. Corporate days can take branded menu signage. Nothing is glued to the yacht.
Getting it onboard
Food, equipment and staff load in the captain’s window. Cold chain, ice, chillers and waste removal are planned before the van leaves. We set up, run the service, break down and take the kit off. End-of-event clearance is on the captain’s timing. We follow the boat — Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour, Palm Jumeirah, JBR, and other berths when it is there.
Dietary
Halal is the default kitchen. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy adaptations are written into the menu when they are in the brief. Live stations can run a vegetarian or vegan line. Canapés can be adapted. Corporate days often need labelling and a pre-event dietary collection. Tell us before we write the proposal.

Sound
We are a culinary and service team first. Optional DJ booking, sound system, audio setup and breakdown, background music and speech support can sit in a full event-management brief where the operator allows it. It is priced separately. If the yacht already has a sound system, we coordinate rather than duplicate.
Corporate yacht days
The Harbour example was a 113-guest corporate day. That is not a birthday with extra canapés. It needs timed service, dietary management, a pause for a speech, enough waiters to keep 100 people looked after, and a manager who talks to the yacht operator. We also run smaller executive dinners, networking receptions, staff celebrations and spouse-inclusive days. Branded menu signage is available. The food still has to work on a moving deck.
Real event pricing
The published reference brief covered 113 guests and four hours onboard at Dubai Harbour. Three formats illustrate how menu choice affects the total. A smaller celebration requires its own quote.
Your price depends on the guest count, menu, staffing, service hours, marina, vessel facilities and any bar service. The examples below use the published 113-guest catering rates. Yacht charter is arranged separately.
AED 170 / guest
Choice of 12 canapés from a 40+ item list, 5 desserts, soft drinks, water, mocktails. This 113-guest quote included 5–6 waiters.
Calculated example, 113 guests incl. VAT: AED 20,171
AED 162 / guest
3 salads, 3 appetizers, 6 main courses, sides, 4 desserts, beverages. This 113-guest quote included 4 waiters.
Calculated example, 113 guests incl. VAT: AED 19,221
AED 258 / guest
Full canapé menu, plus one live station (Chicken Shawarma / Mexican / Pasta / Burger). Two station chefs were a separate AED 720 line on this quote.
Calculated example, 113 guests incl. VAT: AED 31,368
These indicative rates come from a 113-guest, four-hour corporate charter at Dubai Harbour. They are shown before 5% VAT. Staffing, extra hours and bar service are confirmed separately for each booking; smaller groups may have different per-person rates.

Quote
You do not need a finished menu. Date, marina, guest count and how you want to eat is enough.
Catering, not the charter
Identity, right-to-work, skill and references are checked before anyone cooks onboard.
Service staff are set in the written proposal from guest count and format — not left for you to guess on the day.
We design the menu around the galley, route and hours, so the food works onboard rather than only looking good on paper.
Food, equipment and staff load in the captain’s approved window — not when a van happens to arrive.
Halal ingredients are the default. Specific certification needs belong in the brief.
Food, chefs, waiters, extras and 5% VAT as separate lines. Valid for one month.
The galley and service areas are cleared on the captain’s timing.
Food safety sits with licensed culinary partners under Dubai Municipality rules.
No yacht-specific public reviews are shown here because we do not invent testimonials. The 113-guest Harbour charter above is the commercial proof we can stand behind.
How it works
01
Date, marina, guest count and the kind of day. That is enough to start.
02
Menu, chefs, waiters and format — on paper before anyone loads.
03
Loading and onboard rules are aligned with the captain or operator.
04
The team runs the food and service, then clears to the agreed plan.
A private chef yacht Dubai day is catering on a yacht you charter. It is not a household plan and it is not a boat we operate. If you want the same chef at home, week after week, that is private chef Dubai. Land events sit on Event catering in Dubai. A Christmas Day sitting on a chartered yacht is planned from the galley up on festive Christmas catering.
On the water
Galley size, loading windows and grill permissions are not trivia. They are how the food actually works on the day. Most yacht dinner cruise Dubai requests are a seated meal on a charter route. We still do not operate the boat.
We plan around actual fridge, oven and preparation space — usually smaller than a villa kitchen, and often already holding the operator’s stores.
Food, equipment and staff load during the captain’s approved marina window.
Waiters and chefs work to how guests actually use the deck and saloon, including movement and heat.
Service areas are cleared according to the captain’s timing, before you dock when that is the brief.
Boarding
Most yachts we cook for board at Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour, Palm Jumeirah or JBR. The host or their operator books the charter.
Questions
The published 113-guest charter example uses menu rates of AED 162, AED 170 and AED 258 per person before 5% VAT. The buffet example lists four waiters and the canapé example five to six. The live-station option adds AED 720 for two chefs. Different headcounts, bar service and extra hours are quoted separately.
You or your charter operator arrange the yacht. We coordinate the menu, chefs, waiters, loading, service and clear-down around the vessel and itinerary.
Cooking onboard happens where the yacht facilities and operator permit it. Some work is finished on land and loaded in the captain’s window so the galley is not asked to do a restaurant’s job.
A chef can handle the meal while you stay with your guests. That is a party on the water for a day or evening — not a standing household plan.
Waiters can run welcome service, canapés, buffet, table service, drinks where booked, clearing and guest support. The 113-guest examples name the waiters in those quotes. Your written proposal sets the team for your headcount.
A bartender is available where the operator allows alcohol. A bartender with a full bar station is AED 1,800; a bartender alone is AED 1,200. That is an extra, not inside the food rate.
A grill is lit only when the vessel and the captain permit a safe patch of deck. If they do not, we do not light it.
Birthdays, corporate days, proposals, family gatherings and client entertaining use the same product: food, chefs, waiters and service on the yacht.
Most charters we cook for board at Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour, Palm Jumeirah or JBR. We also load at Bluewaters or Dubai Creek when the vessel is there and the captain gives a window.
Two to four weeks is comfortable. Peak season from November to March, a large charter, or a New Year yacht catering Dubai night is safer at six to eight weeks. Send the date even if the menu is not finished.
Halal is the default. Allergies and other diets belong in the brief before we write the menu.
Date, marina, guest count and the kind of day. How you want to eat helps — delivery, chef, canapés, buffet, grill or seated dinner. Yacht name or size helps. You do not need a finished menu.
The menu is designed around the fridge, oven and deck on that yacht, so the food works onboard rather than only looking good on paper.
Quotes carry a minimum headcount. The final number is locked 2 days before the event.
Buffet setups are adjusted or elevated displays removed for safety. The captain’s call beats the table plan.
Glassware, plates, cutlery and napkins are included where the proposal names them. Setup is part of the service plan, not a separate hunt for suppliers.
Galley and service areas are cleared according to the agreed plan and the captain’s timing.
Larger days can include an event or service manager who briefs the team, coordinates boarding, times food around a speech and owns the floor plan. Smaller days may not need a separate manager. The written proposal says who is onboard.
The 113-guest Harbour quote offered chicken shawarma, Mexican, pasta or burger, with two station chefs as a separate AED 720 line. Carving, dessert, coffee, noodle and robata stations are written when the vessel and captain allow it. Open flame is a captain’s call.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free guests are planned when they are in the brief before we write the menu. Halal is the default. Live stations and canapés can be adapted. Corporate days often need labelling and a dietary collection in advance.
DJ and sound can sit in a full event-management brief where the yacht operator allows it. It is priced separately. If the yacht already has sound, we coordinate rather than duplicate.
Book the food, not the boat
Send the date, marina and guest count. We will help you build the rest.
01 · Planning with myCHEF
Share the preparation space, power supply, water access and storage available at the venue. If the site has restrictions on outside caterers, cooking methods or deliveries, raise them before choosing a detailed menu. These details influence the equipment and service plan just as much as the number of guests.
Access can be particularly important in office towers, residential buildings and waterfront locations. Confirm loading arrangements, parking, lift access and the person who will receive the team. A clear arrival plan protects setup time and reduces disruption for your hosts, neighbours or colleagues.
For outdoor service, discuss shade, lighting and a workable alternative if conditions affect the plan. The final proposal should identify which facilities the venue provides and which items need to be arranged separately. Good preparation allows the service itself to feel relaxed, even when the logistics behind it are detailed.
02 · Planning with myCHEF
Food, kitchen equipment and table items are separate parts of a catering brief. Confirm what the venue supplies and what the catering team needs to bring. Depending on the format, that may include preparation equipment, holding equipment, serving utensils, crockery, glassware or linen.
A photograph of a styled event does not establish what is included in your own package. If you want the same type of table setup or service display, ask for those items to be identified in the proposal. This is particularly useful when the property has limited kitchen facilities or the event uses more than one dining area.
Also agree how equipment will arrive, be set up and be collected. Access restrictions and collection times can affect the plan. A clear equipment list helps the team prepare properly and gives you a practical way to check that the venue is ready before guests arrive.
03 · Planning with myCHEF
Work backwards from the time guests should begin eating. The team may need access earlier for unloading, setup and preparation, particularly when equipment or several service areas are involved. Share the programme before the menu is finalised so the catering plan can support it.
Identify moments when service should pause, such as a speech, presentation or ceremony. For an office event, confirm the length of each break and whether everyone will arrive at once. For a private celebration, allow for the welcome period and any cake or toast that needs its own place in the sequence.
Agree a contact for changes on the day. Small timing adjustments may be manageable, while a substantial extension can affect staffing and the booked hours. Clear communication helps the team respond sensibly and keeps the food connected to the occasion rather than running on a separate timetable.
