An office celebration succeeds when food is planned around an agreed service window rather than squeezed into the workday. Pick the window first — a mid-morning break, a working lunch or an end-of-day gathering — then choose a format and quantity that fit it. If you are arranging food for a team occasion, our corporate catering in Dubai covers staffed and drop-off formats for offices.
Choose the service window before the menu
| Window | Suits | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Mid-morning coffee break | Short, informal toasts; minimal interruption | Limited to bites and drinks |
| Working lunch | An announcement made at the table | Needs the meeting to actually pause |
| End of the day | Drinks and plates as work winds down | Attendance thins as people leave |
The window also decides the format: a 45-minute break points to finger food, a full lunch points to plated or buffet service.

Format and space
- Shared buffet or grazing table: suits an open-plan floor; agree where queues form so walkways stay clear.
- Boxed per person: keeps desks and meeting rooms clean; suits teams eating at different times.
- Staffed service: frees organisers to host; needs a service point agreed with your facilities team.
Numbers and dietary needs in one pass
Count the people who will actually be in the building during the window — not the whole team — and add colleagues who may drop in. Collect dietary requirements with the announcement, in one message, and pass them to the caterer before the menu is confirmed. If part of the team is remote, decide whether anything is sent to them, and account for it separately.

Keep the workday intact
- Agree the exact service window and who opens the space for delivery.
- Keep hot food and coffee away from meeting rooms and client areas.
- Decide who clears, and whether bins or the kitchen are used.
- Name one contact for the caterer on the day.
- Schedule the toast before food is opened, so nobody talks over trays.
A worked example (hypothetical)
A 24-person team plans a promotion announcement on a Wednesday. They set a 12:30–13:15 window, order boxed mains plus a shared dessert table so food reaches everyone at the same time, collect dietary needs in the announcement message, and ask the caterer to clear boxes at 13:30. Work resumes on time and nothing is eaten at desks during the announcement. The example is hypothetical; it shows the sequence working, not a recorded booking.
