Around your household

Good preparation starts with your routine and the foods you enjoy. We discuss portions, preferred ingredients, allergies and any instructions from your qualified healthcare professional. The service supports meal preparation; it does not diagnose or treat health conditions.
If you also want freshly served meals or wider kitchen support, explore a personal chef in Dubai and discuss how the cooking can fit around your preparation plan.

Useful to know
Share the written plan before booking. We discuss whether a suitable chef can prepare it within the kitchen, ingredient and service constraints.
No. Meal preparation is a culinary service. Personal health goals and medical nutrition needs should be discussed with a qualified professional.
Please disclose the allergy and its severity before booking. Ingredient sourcing and kitchen conditions need review; we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Your home. Your preferences.
Share your preferred ingredients, foods to avoid, portions and any written dietary guidance. We will review the brief with you before proposing a suitable cooking plan.
Initial reply in around 15 minutes during 9am–9pm Dubai time; your proposal follows after we review your brief. No obligation to book. Share your preferred start date early so we can check chef availability and agree the practical details. Final pricing and timing are confirmed after reviewing your brief.
Make it personal · The details that matter
Healthy meal prep in Dubai becomes more useful when the brief moves beyond a label. Tell us the food you enjoy, the portions that suit your appetite and the moments when convenience matters most. You might want lighter lunches, more vegetable variety or simple meals with sauces served separately. myCHEF can discuss a cooking plan around those preferences and assess any specific dietary instructions you provide. The focus is enjoyable, practical food that fits your routine, with clear expectations about what a chef service can prepare and confirm.

01 · Your myCHEF experience
A useful request might describe grilled fish with vegetables, familiar chicken dishes or substantial plant-based lunches. Those examples give the chef a clearer direction than simply asking for clean food. Share ingredients you dislike as well as ones you want included.
If your request involves a prescribed diet, provide the relevant professional instructions before the menu is agreed. We will discuss suitability rather than assume a general wellness menu meets a specialist need. Taste, convenience and the way you use each meal remain central to creating an arrangement you are happy to continue.

02 · Your myCHEF experience
Words such as balanced, light and high protein can mean different things to different people. Give practical examples of what you enjoy eating and how you want meals to fit your routine. You might prefer a substantial lunch, more vegetables with dinner or sauces served separately. Those details help turn a broad goal into a menu you can review.
A chef can prepare food to an agreed brief, but a culinary service should not be treated as a substitute for individual medical or dietetic advice. If you have professional guidance, share the relevant meal instructions so the team can assess whether the request can be accommodated. Specific nutrient targets or calculations need to be discussed explicitly rather than assumed from a dish description.
Enjoyment still matters. A plan that uses flavours, textures and cuisines you like is easier to look forward to than a list chosen only for how it sounds. Review the portions, convenience and variety after the first visits and refine the cooking brief accordingly.

03 · Your myCHEF experience
The most helpful food brief is specific. Tell us whether you enjoy grilled fish, dislike mushrooms, prefer mild food or want a familiar dish prepared in a particular style. Examples make it easier to translate broad preferences such as healthy, Mediterranean or family friendly into meals you genuinely want to eat.
Separate preferences from allergies and other essential restrictions. These have different implications for ingredients, substitutions and the kitchen setup. Record who each requirement applies to, rather than assuming the whole household eats the same way. If you already follow a professionally prescribed eating plan, share the relevant instructions for the proposed menu to be assessed.
Your food profile should remain useful as life changes. Add a favourite dish after a successful meal, flag portions that were too generous and tell us when guests will join. Small, clear updates give the chef a better starting point for the next menu and reduce the need to explain your preferences again.
Understand how your plan develops
04 · Your myCHEF experience
A vegetarian or vegan guest should have a considered meal, not simply a main course with the protein removed. Tell us whether the whole menu should follow the same approach or whether you need alternatives alongside other dishes. That helps the chef plan a coherent meal and organise preparation time properly.
Discuss the ingredients you enjoy: legumes, vegetables, grains, tofu, nuts where suitable or particular regional dishes. Texture and contrast can make a plant-based menu feel generous and varied. A crisp element, a substantial centre and a well-chosen sauce may be more satisfying than several similar vegetable sides served together.
Be precise about restrictions. Vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free are not interchangeable, and allergies need separate attention. Check ingredients in stocks, sauces, breads and desserts as well as the main dish. If separate preparation arrangements are essential, raise that before booking so the kitchen and service can be assessed. The goal is a menu that welcomes each guest with a complete, thoughtfully planned plate.

05 · Your myCHEF experience
Meal preparation starts with when you expect to eat each dish. Some food is best cooked and served during the visit; other meals can be prepared for later with appropriate storage and finishing instructions. Tell the chef which portions are for the next meal and which are intended for another day so the plan can reflect that difference.
Rather than asking for as many containers as possible, prioritise the meals that will genuinely be used. A smaller selection of well-planned lunches and dinners can be more valuable than a crowded fridge of similar dishes. Consider whether you want complete meals or separate proteins, vegetables and sides that you can combine yourself.
Storage capacity is part of the brief. Agree suitable containers, labelling and any dish-specific handling instructions with the chef. There is no single storage period that suits every recipe and household situation. If you are uncertain about a prepared item, ask before serving it rather than relying on a general assumption.

Guest count is only the beginning of portion planning. Appetite, meal timing and the number of dishes all affect how much food is useful. Tell us whether lunch is usually light, dinner is the main meal or family members have very different appetites. For a recurring arrangement, actual feedback is more useful than guessing a perfect quantity at the outset.
After a few meals, note what was finished, what remained and whether anyone wanted a larger serving. Distinguish between useful leftovers and food that simply went uneaten. That information can help the chef adjust quantities and choose dishes that fit the household more closely on the next visit.
If visitors are joining, update the headcount before shopping and preparation are finalised. Extra portions can affect ingredients, service time and the equipment required. Clear communication gives the chef room to plan properly and helps keep the experience generous without treating unnecessary food waste as a sign of good hospitality.
Keep your household plan up to date
07 · Your myCHEF experience
A menu should be built around ingredients that can be sourced to the required standard for the date. If you have a particular fish, cut of meat or specialist product in mind, mention it early. Availability, size and price can influence whether the original dish is practical or whether an alternative would produce a better result.
Agree how substitutions will be handled. Some households are comfortable with the chef choosing a similar vegetable; others want to approve any change. Essential dietary requirements should never be treated as interchangeable preferences. A substitution that affects those requirements needs specific discussion before it is used.
There is also value in keeping a few menu decisions flexible. A well-chosen alternative can preserve the balance of a meal without forcing the chef to use an unsuitable ingredient simply because it appeared in an early draft. Your final menu and proposal should make the agreed choices clear, including any premium items that affect the overall price.
