In Weddings, Parties & Celebrations
Yes. Catering companies in Dubai can provide serving staff and post-event cleanup, but neither is automatic from the phrase 'full service'. Both need to be written into the proposal: who serves, until what time, and which areas are cleaned. When you enquire through our Dubai catering team, list the serving and cleanup tasks you want covered so the proposal can answer them directly.
What serving staff actually cover
Ask for responsibilities by role rather than a total headcount. A cook finishing dishes in the kitchen and a server attending the table are different jobs, and neither necessarily covers drinks, furniture or waste removal.
- Setup: placing agreed serving equipment and preparing the food area.
- Service: bringing dishes to the table, attending a buffet or circulating canapés.
- Replenishment: keeping the agreed food presentation ready during service.
- Dietary questions: identifying dishes and passing dietary questions to the right person.
- Clearing: removing used plates, serving dishes and agreed glassware.
- Supervision: coordinating the team and handling changes with your nominated contact.

Cleanup: what it includes and excludes
'Cleanup included' means different things to different providers. The useful version is a task list with an area list beside it:
| Area or task | Ask the caterer to confirm | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Preparation area | Catering utensils washed, surfaces wiped | Household appliances or existing mess |
| Dining area | Catering crockery and food items cleared | Furniture moved or decorations removed |
| Washing-up | Which dishes are washed, and where | Household and hired items treated alike |
| Waste | Bagged and moved to an agreed point | All event rubbish removed from the property |
| Hired equipment | Packed, stored and collection agreed | Collection happens the same evening |
Agree the handover as its own stage
Set separate milestones for setup, guest service, clearing and handover, and nominate one person to check the agreed areas before the team leaves. Also ask what happens if the evening runs past the agreed service window, and who can authorise an extension.

A worked example (hypothetical)
A host books a plated dinner for eighteen in a villa garden. The written scope names two service staff until 23:00, plated courses with one vegetarian alternative identified per guest, clearing of the dining table and garden buffet, washing-up of catering items only, and bagged waste taken to the service gate. Hired platters are packed for collection the next morning and stored in the garage. Everything not on that list — bar glassware, cushions, the pool area — stays with the household. The example is illustrative; it shows how a scope reads when it is specific, not a recorded booking.

- What are the service start and finish times, and how are extensions handled?
- Exactly which cleanup tasks and areas are covered?
- Where does bagged waste go, and when is equipment collected?
