myCHEF Booking Protection
Confirmed bookings include myCHEF Booking Protection. If the assigned delivery partner becomes unavailable, we will seek a suitable replacement or refund the amount paid for the affected service that cannot be delivered. Terms and exclusions apply. Booking Protection is not insurance.
In plain terms: once your booking is confirmed, paid and accepted by the assigned partner, there is a clear, written commitment about what happens if that partner cannot deliver. myCHEF Dubai plans and coordinates your experience; regulated food services are performed by appropriately licensed independent partners, and Booking Protection is our answer to the one risk that structure creates for you as a guest. It also appears in our Terms of Service.
1. When Booking Protection applies
Booking Protection applies to a booking once all three of the following are in place:
- You have received written myCHEF confirmation of the booking
- The required customer payment has cleared
- The assigned delivery partner has accepted the booking
Until all three conditions are met, the booking is still being arranged and Booking Protection has not yet started.
2. What we do
If the confirmed delivery partner becomes unavailable, myCHEF will use reasonable efforts to arrange a suitably qualified alternative or refund amounts paid for the affected service that will not be delivered. Where a suitably qualified alternative exists, we propose it to you first; where it does not, the refund applies to the affected service that will not be delivered.
3. The limit of our responsibility
There is no compensation above the amount paid for the affected undelivered service, and no consequential-loss, travel, accommodation or venue reimbursement. Booking Protection restores what you paid for the affected service. It does not extend to costs around the event.
4. What is not covered
- Customer cancellation
- Customer non-payment
- Inaccurate customer information
- Material post-confirmation customer changes
- Venue refusal or restrictions
- Government restrictions
- Unsafe working conditions
- Weather affecting outdoor events
- Force majeure
- Unlawful requests
- Customer-supplied food, drink or equipment
- Circumstances outside reasonable control
5. How to claim
Notify myCHEF promptly and submit the claim within 48 hours after the scheduled service. We aim to acknowledge claims within two business days and provide an outcome within ten business days after complete information is received.
Message us on WhatsApp (or email info@mychef.ae) with your booking reference, event date and a clear description of what was not delivered.
Booking Protection is not insurance. Do not describe it as booking insurance, insured booking, or insurance-backed protection.
